スーパーボウル55のオープニング演出で、コーチオブコーチのビンス・ロンバルディが登場しました。
とはいっても、この人は随分前にお亡くなりになっています。今回はCGを駆使した映像にて登場。という演出です。
これに現地NFLファンたちも違和感の声をあげていたようです。今回はそんな話題を。
NFLが日本でもっと浸透しますように。
Vince lombardiのMOVIEはこんな感じ。
うーん、いいですね。僕は結構好きですよ。ヴィンス・ロンバルディは、グリーンベイ・パッカーズの名HCです。第一回、第二回のスーパーボウルを優勝し、後に彼の名前がトロフィーの名前になったほどです。（ロンバルディトロフィーっていいますでしょ。）
彼は1970年に57歳でお亡くなりになってます。今から50年以上前です。50年も経過すると、当時の戦術や戦略などはあまり使い物にならないでしょう。しかし彼は今なお「大コーチ」として尊敬を集めてます。
それはおそらく、彼が残した言葉だと思います。仕事やフットボールや人生に対する彼の哲学。これは今なお語り継がれるものなんですね。
が、それが故に。やすやすとCG使って登場させてきたことに、すんなり受け入れられない人も多数いたようですね。

ロンバルディ演出・・・ 滅茶苦茶、モヤっとしたわ。
と、皆がいまいち評価。「何が言いたいのか理解できん。」「ディープフェイクじゃねぇか」と、思い出を汚されたような思いの人もたくさんいたようですね。
日本でも去年の紅白歌合戦で美空ひばりがAI技術で復活！として新曲を披露しました。これには随分非難の声が上がりましたよね。これと同じ心情なんでしょうね。「ロンバルディ≒美空ひばり」です。
ロンバルディの名言を少し紹介します。
こちらは、Vince Lombardiと検索すると出てくるサイトです。運営しているのが彼の遺族なのか、それともファンでしょうか。わかりませんが、彼の遺した言葉や偉業などが記されています。ちょっと紹介したいと思います。

Running a football team is no different than running any other kind of organization - an army, a political party or a business. The principles are the same. The object is to win - to beat the other guy. Maybe that sounds hard or cruel. I don't think it is.
フットボールチームを運営することは、軍隊や、政治団体、営利団体を組織運営することと何も違わない。原理原則はすべて同じだ。目的は勝つこと。相手に勝つこと。これは残酷に聞こえるかもしれないが私はそう思わない。

人が競争するのは人生の現実です。競争的なゲームは競争的な人間を引き寄せる。だからこそ彼らはそこにいる。競争に勝つために。正々堂々とルールに則って、正々堂々と勝つことが目的なのだ。

人間は残忍だからと、こんなことを言ってるわけではない。残忍な人間になれと言ってるわけではない。私は人間の良識を信じてる。しかし、やはり人間にとって最大の充足感が得られるのは、心を尽くし体を尽くし勝利して横たわっているときなのです。
まとめ
人間の脳の機能は解析できないほど優秀です。あえてテクノロジーで思い出を復活させなくてもいいかなと。それよりも脳内補正している妄想の方が美しかったりするので・・・。
思い出補正ともいいますけどね。良い思い出ほど、胸にそっとしまっておきましょう。光を当てないほうが輝くものもあるってことです。
